Profile

Graeme’s journey started with his father’s Olympus SLR in the late nineties, handed down to provide a means to capture his endless travels. With a pack of black and white film and a handful of lenses, Graeme began shooting the life and culture around him. From that day forth and passionate about adventure, Graeme has taken his camera all over the world. Whilst documenting Australasia, The Middle East, Asia and Europe and extensively covering the desolately beautiful landscape of the Sinai, he’s travelled by Enfield motorbike, every type of public transport, shank’s pony and even a donkey.

Specialising in portrait and reportage photography, Graeme Fordham has lived in the Sinai over the last fifteen years. Travelling extensively over this land of dramatic natural beauty documenting the local Bedouin people, his work captures their warm, generous spirit and a fast disappearing way of life. He has been involved in a number of community projects in the Middle East whilst building a stunning collection of candid portraits. His work is characterized by an intimacy and immediacy that take the viewer to an exact moment in time.

Working as a freelance photographer since 2006 he is promoting his various collections as well as travelling internationally for projects, assignments and exhibitions.
